Job Title: HR Generalist
Location: Commerce, GA
Department: Human Resources
Reports To: HR Manager
Job Summary:
The HR Generalist will support daily human resources operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role will assist with recruitment, employee relations, benefits administration, training, and compliance with company policies and legal regulations. The ideal candidate is organized, approachable, and adaptable, with a strong understanding of HR practices in a production-based setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with recruitment, onboarding, and orientation of new employees.
Support HR initiatives such as training, development, and employee engagement programs.
Provide guidance to employees and supervisors regarding HR policies and procedures.
Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS data.
Coordinate benefits enrollment and assist with open enrollment processes.
Help manage employee relations issues and support conflict resolution.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
Support timekeeping, attendance tracking, and payroll coordination.
Participate in health and safety initiatives and workers’ compensation processes.
Generate reports and metrics related to HR functions as needed.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
2–5 years of HR experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Working knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS systems (e.g., ADP, UKG, Workday).
Work Environment:
Office located within the manufacturing plant.
Occasional exposure to industrial production floor; PPE may be required.
Regular business hours with occasional overtime as needed.
